“900 days of suffering, deprivation and unbearable waiting. Since her arbitrary arrest on May 7, 2022, we have not stopped fighting for her release, but we still see no light at the end of the tunnel.” Emotional but combative, Pascal and Mireille Kohler expressed their concern this Wednesday evening at a rally attended by around a hundred people outside Paris City Hall. Two Parisian officials, Jean-Luc Romero-Michel and Geneviève Garrigos, were present for the unveiling of a poster in support of the three hostages, which will be on display until November 17.
“The Iranian authorities deprive us of any decent contact with Cécile. We only receive rare calls lasting a few minutes, sometimes after an unbearable silence of several months. We can’t stand these highly monitored calls any longer, as they prevent us from talking to her calmly and obtaining reliable information about her state of health. We know that every day brings further irreversible damage to her health. Every day is one day too many. It’s time for Cécile to come back. It’s time for this nightmare to end,” said Pascal and Mireille Kohler.
