Ceasefire and Hostage Release Deal Announced Between Israel and Hamas

Washington D.C. – January 15, 2025 – After 467 days of suffering, heartache and tension, a ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas has finally been announced, and is set to commence next Sunday.

Hostage Aid Worldwide is deeply grateful for all the efforts that have made this deal possible. The hostages have endured indescribable hardships and their families have faced unimaginable pain during this time.

Hostage Aid Worldwide’s President and former hostage in Iran, Nizar Zakka, stated that “I am relieved and glad that a ceasefire and hostage release deal has been announced, although it is tragic that it took so long to get to this stage. I would like to send a special thank you to President Trump who was instrumental in making this happen. However, it is critical that we ensure that all three phases of this deal are fully implemented. This means we must continue to exert continuous and constant pressure on all parties as well as mediators until all 98 hostages are brought back home; anything less than that is not enough.”

Hostage Aid members have worked relentlessly and tirelessly towards this day and look forward to the freedom of all those held captive and trust that the incoming Trump administration will continue to work toward lasting peace in the Middle East and the return of every hostage back home.
