Detained Nationals: France’s Complaint Against Iran Is “An Important Signal from France,” Says Cécile Kohler’s Sister

France filed a complaint against Iran on Friday before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), denouncing the mistreatment of Cécile Kohler and her partner Jacques Paris, who have been imprisoned in Iran for three years.
The complaint, filed by France with the ICJ concerning its two nationals, Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, detained for three years, is “an important signal from France,” said Noémie Kohler, Cécile Kohler’s sister, in a statement to franceinfo on Friday, May 16.
