The partners of Nahuel Gallo and Germán Giuliani met with legislators in the Senate.

Family members of two Argentines detained in Venezuela met this Wednesday with national legislators to present the cases of Nahuel Gallo and Germán Giuliani, denounce arbitrary detentions, and call for stronger political and diplomatic intervention. The meeting took place in the office of Senator Maximiliano Abad and was organized by Congresswoman Karina Banfi.

The meeting was attended by the partners of Gallo and Giuliani, along with deputies and senators from different political blocs. Those present included Silvana Giudici (LLA), Maximiliano Ferraro (CC-ARI), Francisco Paoltroni (LLA), and Carolina Losada (UCR). The families expressed their concern over the lack of concrete progress in efforts to secure the release of both Argentines detained in Venezuela.

The central demand was the need to strengthen the intervention of the Argentine state and expand political and international support. The families emphasized that these are two Argentine citizens deprived of their liberty without a clear or transparent legal process, and that the situation has dragged on for months without definitive answers.

Families’ testimonies and the appeal to Milei

Speaking to the press, María Alexandra Gómez, partner of gendarme Nahuel Gallo, thanked the legislators for receiving them and explained the purpose of the meeting. “I have been demanding Nahuel Gallo’s freedom for nearly 14 months. He is in a situation of enforced disappearance in Venezuela. The goal was for political leaders to hear that these are two human beings who today are being held in arbitrary and illegal detention,” she said.
