The fate of prisoners held in Evin Prison’s security ward 209 remains unknown five days after Israel struck the prison, with families threatened to stay silent about their missing relatives.

Images of extensive damage to Evin Prison wards have increased concerns about prisoners held in the security ward.

Many families seeking information about imprisoned relatives after the Israeli strike have been threatened by security agencies to remain silent, IranWire understands.

Some inmates remain at Evin, while others have been transferred to Fashafoyeh, Qezelhesar, and Qarchak prisons.

Social media users have posted the names of prisoners whose families have no news, demanding accountability from judicial authorities and prison officials.

Blogger Donia Hosseini from Khuzestan is among those unaccounted for. The condition of student activist Motahareh Goonehei, who was held in ward 209, also remains unclear.
