Washington D.C. – February 27, 2025 – Hostage Aid Worldwide is saddened by the loss of Itzik Elgarat, an Israeli-Danish national; Ohad Yahalomi, an Israeli-French national; Shlomo Mansour, an Iraqi-born Israeli national; and Tsahi Idan, an Israeli national. While the return of their remains brings some closure to their families, their absence leaves an unfillable void.
Itzik Elgarat was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023. He was shot in the hand during his abduction. Ohad Yahalomi was shot in the leg and abducted along with his 12-year-old son, Eitan, also at his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz. Eitan Yahalomi was released on November 27, 2023, as part of a swap agreement between Israel and Hamas. Shlomo Mansour was abducted from his home in Kibbutz Kissufim, making him the oldest hostage held in Gaza. Tsahi Idan was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nahal Oz, leaving behind his grieving family.
