Washington D.C., May 12, 2025 – Hostage Aid Worldwide welcomes the release of Edan Alexander, the last living American-Israeli hostage, who has been freed from Gaza after enduring 584 days in captivity. His release marks a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to secure the freedom of all those still held hostage.
Edan Alexander, 21 years old, was taken on October 7, 2023. After spending nearly 600 days in captivity, his release today is a powerful reminder that continued pressure and coordinated efforts can yield results. His return brings renewed hope to the families of those still held in Gaza and underscores the urgent need for sustained international engagement to ensure the safe return of every remaining hostage.
