Around thirty support rallies are planned for Thursday, September 25, the birthday of Cécile Kohler. The teacher, originally from Soultz, and her partner Jacques Paris have been detained in Iran for three and a half years. Among the planned gatherings are one at Place Kléber in Strasbourg at 5:30 p.m., Porte Jeune in Mulhouse and in front of Colmar’s town hall at 6 p.m., as well as Place de la Nation in Paris at 7 p.m.
To fund its support and communication activities, the “Liberté pour Cécile” support committee is also launching a donation appeal to keep the association running. “Our resources are exhausted,” the group’s leaders said. Donations can be made through the association’s website or directly via the fundraising platform helloasso.com.
