LIDO DI VENICE – These are days of anguish and hope for the family of the Venetian aid worker, who is still imprisoned in Caracas and awaiting news from Venezuela. Meanwhile, tomorrow the mobilization calling for Alberto’s release will once again stop in Mestre.
“We ask everyone to respect the request for silence indicated by the Prime Minister’s Office and to avoid any kind of exploitation, because every wrong word could jeopardize Alberto’s release. We thank everyone for their understanding and solidarity.”
Through a statement released by attorney Alessandra Ballerini, the Trentini family is asking for respect and silence, specifying that these are days of anguish and hope, in the hope of being able to embrace the Venetian aid worker again as soon as possible. He is originally from the Lido of Venice and has been detained for over a year, in Venezuela since November 15, 2024, without any formal charges.
