The Regional Council of Hauts-de-France, chaired by the Republican Xavier Bertrand, now displays portraits of Cécile Kohler, who has been imprisoned in Iran with her companion since 2022, and Boualem Sansal, who has been arbitrarily detained in Algeria since November 16, 2024, at the entrance of its headquarters. On the other side of the Mediterranean, Boualem Sansal, an elderly and ill man, is being arbitrarily detained. In Iran, Cécile Kohler is in prison with her companion, and they are slowly dying.
